The seven-day tour option circuits the entire peninsula and includes a visit to Ireland’s most northerly point, Malin Head.<\/p>\n

Along the way cyclists have the chance to see the remarkable Irish National Monument, Grianan Aileach<\/a>, a ringfort built on an ancient site at the top of Grianan Hill.<\/p>\n

The climb up Grianan Hill is challenging but rewards cyclists with incredible views over the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n

Another highlight of the tour is a circuit of Inch Island<\/a>, an exciting rollercoaster of twists and turns, short climbs and descents through lush countryside that is a birdwatchers\u2019 paradise.<\/p>\n

Cycle Inishowen was founded by Blaise Harvey, a native of the area, and Michael Ogden, an \u00e9migr\u00e9 and former bicycle courier from England.<\/p>\n

They have organised tours of Britain, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy and Tasmania, but realised that one of the finest places they had cycled was their own backyard.<\/p>\n
