This fine sandy beach is over two kilometres long. Inishkeel island is located approximately 250 metres from the beach shore and can be reached on foot at low tide by crossing a tidal sand bank. The island together with Dunmore Head gives a good degree of shelter to the beach\r\n\r\nThe renowned <a title=\"Narin and Portnoo Golf Links\" href=\"http:\/\/www.donegalcottageholidays.com\/blog\/narin-portnoo-golf-club\/\">Narin & Portnoo Golf Links<\/a> runs along much of the length of the beach. Lifeguards are normally on duty - from June until September.
