Cruit Island Golf Course<\/strong> is considered to be one of the best 9 hole golf courses in Ireland. It is without doubt one of the most scenic. The golf course enjoys spectacular views of Aranmore<\/a> and Owey Islands, Mount Errigal and the ruggged coastline near Kincasslagh on the mainland.<\/p>\n

The 9 holes of Cruit Island<\/a><\/span> Golf course were created as recently as 1986 by Michael Doherty, the professional at City of Derry Golf Club. And yet it has the feel of an old style classic links that has been around for generations. The sound of the sea is ever present and the panoramic views from the cliff tops are truly breathtaking.<\/p>\n

The golf course is 2,809 yards long and has 7 par fours and 2 par threes. One of the par three’s is the spectacular signature hole played along the cliff edge.<\/p>\n

Cruit Island hosts 2 golf competitions in honour of two of\u00a0 the area’s most famous people –\u00a0 Packie Bonner, the ex international soccer goalkeeper and Daniel O Donnel<\/a>, the hugely popular Irish singer.<\/p>\n

The visitor is assured of a warm welcome and memorable game golf on Cruit Island. Daily green fees only \u20ac25.<\/p>\n
