A 19th Century House with Tasteful Modern Extension

The main part of the house dates from the late nineteenth-century and it retains much of its original character and form including the natural slate roof and timber sash windows. Recent modern additions have been carefully blended in to provide a top-class self-catering property.

Luxury Accommodation

There are 5 bedrooms in total to sleep up to 12 people over three floors.  3 of the bedrooms are ensuite and there is also a shower room, a large wet room and an outside shower. The original sitting room in the house has a traditional canted bay window, an open fireplace, wood flooring and enjoys beautiful sea views.

In a modern extension, there is a superb open plan space that enjoys panoramic coastal views. It features a stylish modern kitchen with island unit, a large bright dining area and 2 seating areas. There are 2 small balconies on either side – from one you can observe the ocean, surfing and beach activity and from the other you can keep an eye on the tennis or football match.

The amenities don’t stop there. On the lower ground floor, there is a kids tv room as well as a games room with pool table and dartboard. Outside there is also a large room which hosts a separate kitchen with barbeque oven and a separate wood-fired pizza oven.  The room overlooks the sea and with large concertina style glass doors ensure these views and use of the area are available no matter what the weather.

Perfect Base for a Relaxing Getaway

There are a variety of areas on the seaside of the house where the visitor and relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal views. These include a number of paved patio areas and a large area of artificial grass. To the land side, there is ample parking, large lawns and of course the all-weather sports court.

Additional Lodge Accommodation

A two bedroomed self-contained lodge which sleeps 6 people is also situated in the grounds for those who need extra space.  This has been recently restored and hosts two ensuite bedrooms and a luxurious open plan kitchen, diner and sitting room with a balcony opening directly onto the Atlantic ocean. The Wild Atlantic Way

The village of Rossnowlagh itself is located along the Wild Atlantic Way between Ballyshannon (8km) and Donegal Town (15km) - two of Donegals most historic towns. The superb Donegal Golf Club is close by.  The property is located within a short walk from the Gaslight and Smugglers restaurants / bar and Finnegan’s Grocery shop

The main part of this late 19th-century house has retained much of its original character. The living room has wood flooring, an open fireplace and a traditional style canted bay window which offers lovely sea views

A centrepiece of the modern extension to the original house is a very spacious open plan area with kitchen, dining and living spaces. The stylish modern kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday and features a large island unit with high stools

There are effectively 2 living spaces in the open plan area. The first is a seating area with floor to ceiling windows offering superb panoramic views of the coastline outside. The second is a seating area in front of a solid fuel stove and featuring a traditional style sash window.

The bright dining area has a large table with dining chairs and bench furniture.
There are glass doors leading out to 2 small balconies on either side of the dining area - one with wonderful sea views and one with views of the lawns and tennis court.

On the lower ground floor there is a large games area with pool table and dart board. Adjacent to it is a kids TV Room

Cliff House has a large separate room that has been purpose-built for barbeques and al-fresco dining. The room faces the sea and large concertina style glass doors ensure these views are available no matter what the weather.

Visitors to Cliff House have the use of a wonderful on-site all-weather tennis, basketball and mini soccer court.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of 300 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

  • rentals 7 day minimum during high season
  • refundable damage deposit of €400 will also be requested prior to arrival
