Oozing with individual style, this authentic wood cabin is situated on an elevated site close to the shores of Sessiagh Lake and just a few minutes drive from the popular seaside resorts of Dunfanaghy and Portnablagh
Staying at Jack's Cabin all the amenities of Dunfanaghy, Portnablagh and Marble Hill are close at hand. These include Blue Flag beaches, an 18 hole links course, numerous cafes, pubs craft shops, art galleries, restaurants and watersports centres. There is a modern spa in the Shandon Hotel and an equestrian centre at Arnolds Hotel. Sea angling and boating are available at Portnablagh Pier and lake fishing is literally on your doorstep at Sessiagh Lake (permits required)
Jack's Cabin also lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way and is a relaxing base to explore this route in North Donegal. The holiday cabin is also within easy driving distance of Ards Forest Park, Ards Friary, Doe Castle while the magnificent Glenveagh National Park is just 19km away.
Jack's Cabin shares well-maintained lawns and grounds with the adjacent owner's residence. From the grounds, there are views of Horn Head and the Atlantic Ocean to the front and Kill Mountain to the rear. Across the lawn from the cabins front porch is a sheltered and furnished decking area - ideal for coffee breaks and al-fresco dining
Stepping through Jacks Cabin front door there is a place to leave sandy shoes ( a house policy). The front door leads to a beautiful living room with comfy soft furnishings in warm fabrics. Stylish lamps on top of restored whiskey barrels, colourful wall pictures and a wood burning stove create the perfect ambience for peace and relaxation. The living room leads into the kitchen and dining area. The stylish modern kitchen blends in well with wood structure and is fully equipped for a self catering holiday. The dining table has built in bench as well as chair furniture.
The holiday cabins bedroom has a double bed and built-in bedroom cupboards, shelving and window bench. The bedroom is ensuite and has a glass patio door leading out to a narrow decking area overlooking Kill Mountain.
Jack's Cabin really is an ideal retreat all year round being both light and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in the winter with a log burning stove, central heating and lovely, comfy soft furnishings in warm fabrics.
The front door of Jacks Cabin leads to a bright and airy living room with comfortable soft furnishings in warm fabrics. Stylish lamps on top of restored whiskey barrels, colourful wall pictures and a wood-burning stove create the perfect ambience for peace and relaxation. There is an initial supply of fuel for the stove and additional logs can be purchased from the owner next door.
Velux windows help flood the living room with natural light
The kitchen and dining room also feature Velux windows which provide ample natural light. Appliances available in the stylish kitchen include electric oven and gas hobs, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave.
