The Old School House is situated on the beautiful Carrickfinn Peninsula near Kincasslagh. This Peninsula is located in North West Donegal and is surrounded by the county’s largest Gaeltacht area.The peninsula has a fertile low-lying grassy plain known as a Machair or machar in Gaelic. The unique ecosystem of this grassy plain has led much of Carrickfinn to be designated as a Special Area of Conservation and also a Natural Heritage area.
