Donegal Ocean View Dunfanaghy

At Donegal Ocean View Cottage the visitor can experience the ultimate in relaxation and tranquillity right on the edge of the north coast of Donegal. Nestled into the cliffs of the dramatic Horn Head Peninsula this superb one bedroom cottage enjoys sweeping panoramic views over Sheephaven Bay towards the rugged Rosguill Peninsula and the North Atlantic Ocean beyond.

In this idyllic setting you could easily forget that you are just over 3km from the Dunfanaghy – one of the most vibrant and popular family beach resorts in Donegal.

Whether you have come to Horn Head to enjoy its world-renowned walks; to find artistic inspiration from the powerful Atlantic colliding with the resilient land; or merely to take some time to recharge, you have found your ideal base from which to discover this very special corner of Ireland. The luxury and seclusion of the cottage means it is also a perfect place for honeymooners who want to leave the outside world behind for awhile.

The cottage has high end finishes throughout and is a touch of real luxury in a place of unsurpassed beauty. Every room in the house enjoys views of the coastal landscape outside – a landscape that changes mood daily with the ever changing sky. There are three living spaces in the fabulous cottage – a living area on the ground floor with wood burning stove, a seating area on the first floor and a sun room.

The wonderful sun room has been designed to bring the outside in and is the perfect spot for relaxation. The beautifully crafted kitchen features an Aga range. On the first floor there is a spacious bedroom with king sized bed. An adjacent bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath and a separate shower.

On the ground floor there is a toilet. Outside there are two separate patio style areas with paving and gravel. The tarmac driveway is accessed via an electric gate. The cottage has a “no pets” policy
