Seaside Thatch Cottage is just over 7km from Lettermacaward. On the way into the village you pass Elliots pub – a renowned Irish music venue. The village, known colloquially as Leitir, has a shop and another pub with a cafe – The Gweedore Bar. A third – Packies – has a dramatic setting on the way to Dooey Beach.
