Shanton Self Catering Buncrana

Shanton House is located on an elevated site overlooking the town of Buncrana and enjoys panoramic views across Lough Swilly to the hills of the Fanad peninsula. The house was originally built in the early 1900s and still has the thick outer walls of a traditional property.

To the rear there is an elevated wood deck area which takes full advantage of the sea views on offer. Buncrana town centre with its shops, restaurants and swimming pool is a 2 min drive away, while the golf courses at Lisfannon and a local 9 hole course are within easy reach.

Buncrana is the largest town in the Inishowen Peninsula and it lies along the route of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way driving route. It has a full range of tourist amenities, as well as fine restaurants and lively bars. The town has a cinema, golf course, pitch and putt, play park, clean safe sandy beaches and many activities for children.
