The house is situated in Buncronan, a most attractive area overlooking Inver Bay. (Imagine a triangle with Buncronan as the lower point, then the village of Inver would be the left vertex about 4km away, with Mountcharles, being the right vertex, about 6km away.)
The cottage is a recently completed, detached bungalow. It has four bedrooms to sleep up to eight, a main bathroom, two en-suites and a separate toilet off the utility room, a fully fitted kitchen and a large dining area. The cottage is fully insulated and double glazed, with oil fired central heating, and an additional oil burning stove in the fireplace. Located on a large, landscaped property, - with plenty of parking, a large front lawn, and a patio on one side of the house.
A quiet, scenic, and peaceful location, with spectacular views from the doorstep, - of Inver Bay and the beach. What more could one wish for?
Inver and Mountcharles are two small villages between the larger towns of Donegal (Town) to the East and Killybegs to the West. All are linked by the N56, the southernmost section of the main artery linking all parts of the periphery of Western Donegal, from Dunfanaghy in the North to Letterkenny in the East, and Dungloe in the West. A drive along this route will reward one with some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere in Ireland. There will be many side-roads tempting one to take a turn to see what lies beyond, and perhaps 2 or 3 days will be needed to do justice to the tour.
One need not have to travel far, for there is much to see and do along the South Donegal Coast.
Scenic attractions are many, and a visit to the awesome cliffs at Slieve League, said to be the highest in Europe (nearly 2000 feet), is not to be missed.

I spent the four weeks of august 2012 in Lindsay's Cottege with a colleague and had a wonderfully quiet and peaceful time - just what the doctor ordered!! The cottage is huge, and is the best appointed house I have stayed in in 20 years. It has everything the holidaymaker could want, imaculate bathrooms, and plenty of hot water, crisp linnen and a huge kitchen/dinner with an extra small tv and 3 piece suite. The whole house is kept spotlessly clean, as is the well appointed garden, with its huge lawn (my dog loved the garden) and an outside eating area and BBQ. As for thearea? Well a car is a must as the cottage is well off the beaten track, overlooking Inver Bay - beautiful. The owner Billy, was the perfect host and could not do enough to help out in anyway, he lived 100 meters away! As for the area, there is much to see and do in this part of Donegal, if you like beautiful countryside, you will not be disappointed, this part of Ireland is truly beautiul, with fantastic unspoiled beaches as well as stunning scenery.
The only thing that was missing was Wi-Fi, but that would have meant I'd have access to work, so was perhaps a blessing! I would strongly recomend this property to anyone, and I would use it again if I were to return to Donegal
