Mulroy House is a 3 bedroom thatched property built with the presence of mind to create an old cottage feel with all the modern perks. Situated on the banks of Mulroy Bay with direct access onto the bay with a slipway into the water. Mulroy Cottage offers an opportunity to stroll the shores of Mulroy Bay or simply enjoy the view from the comfort of your armchair.

Surrounding Areas

Just a 5-minute walk from the house is The Meadows Trout Fishery, which is a 2-acre stream-fed fishery and offers the opportunity for anglers to enjoy some first-rate and perhaps unique fishing for rainbows within sight of the sea.

Approximatly 2.5km from Mulroy House is the holiday village of Kerrykeel where visitors can enjoy a quiet drink or meal in the local bars or restaurants.

The seaside village of Portsalon lies just over 5km from the property. This charming resort has a top-class 18 hole golf course and a breathtaking blue flag beach.

A 15-minute drive will take you to the new Mulroy Bridge which links the Fanad and Rossguill Peninsulas and will make it much easier for visitors to Mulroy House to visit attractions such as Rosapenna Golf Club, The Atlantic Drive, Ards Forest Park and the beautiful Horn Head Peninsula

The Fanad Peninsula

This beautiful Peninsula stretches north from the village of Milford via Kerrykeel to Fanad Head and back down to the Georgian village of Ramelton via Portsalon and Rathmullan.On the eastern shores,the renowned Knockalla coast road which offers a spectacular drive overlooking the Inishowen Hills and Lough Swilly.

  • Enjoy the unspoilt beaches of Portsalon, Downings and Rathmullan on your doorstep.
  • Go deep-sea fishing or sightseeing on Lough Swilly. Based in Rathmullan are 2 modern charter boats.
  • Take a trip along the spectacular Knockalla Coast Road.
  • Go fly fishing in the nearby Meadows Fishery.
  • Try surfing at the Adventure One Surf School in Ballyheirnan Bay.
  • Climb Muckish or Errigal.
  • Go pony trekking at The Golden Sands in Rathmullan or at the Dunlewey Trekking Centre.
  • You can also visit Glenveagh National Park with 16000 hectares of mountains, lakes, woods and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National park, Glenveagh Castle and Gardens are well worth a visit on their own.
