Customer Testimonials for Doire na Craobh - Ballyliffin

Back to property details

Had a great couple of days in our favourite part of the country. Diarmuids house was a perfect location for exploring the amazing Inishowen. The house has a quirky charm with a homely feel. Diarmuid had left wine and food including milk and juice a lovely thoughtful surprise. The woodburner stove rounded off great days out. We had a meal in Ballyliffin Hotel on Diarmuids recommendation we were not disappointed. Diarmuid also organised electric bikes for us but we were too unsure of the roads to use them but being the gracious host he understood. A great host

Very spacious and colorful spot to lay our heads for a day! Our host left us a sweet note welcoming us to their home along with a starter pack for us to enjoy in the morning . The showers were hot and the host left us plenty of towels! Which we appreciated . We unpacked and watched a little t.v before we headed off to dinner . Was a lovely place to stay even if it was just for a night .

Hi Diarmuid,
Both myself and Dermot would like to thank you, we had a really lovely time staying in your house and it suited us perfectly. We loved being out of town but near to everything at the same time, the house was stocked with everything we needed and we would definitely stay again in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Diarmuid's place at the end of Ireland ! Ballyliffin is only 15 minutes away driving from Malin Head where you can enjoy the sunning view over the ocean. The house was very cosy and we particularly enjoyed its quietness. I definitely recommend staying at the Diarmuid's house. Bonus : Diarmuid welcomed us with a pack of Guiness and local food which is always a good surprise!

Diarmuid was there to meet us when we arrived which was great, really helpful guy. The house is a hidden gem located in a beautiful area of Donegal. It's well equipped with everything you would need, good access to local beaches and a really nice place to relax. An interesting collection of artwork, both inside and outside the house, really make the place individual and quirky. Would definitely recommend.

We had the most pleasurable weekend in Doira na Criadh. Fantastic hospitality was there for our arrival, lovely beers and wine and a fruit basket for the children. We love the house and the surrounding very peaceful and the house is unique in its layout and very homely. We have the wood burning stove on at night which was lovely and the house had everything we needed for a lovely peaceful break in Donegal.

Hi,Marie Gormley, from Co Tyrone-The house was amazing, we all loved it, especially the open space. The interior of the house was really eccentric and different. It was very homely. We loved where it was situated, the view was stunning and we would take walks around the back roads in the morning. Ballyliffin had very affordable hotels that offered great breakfast & dinner services. We were very close to beach and Clonmany. So we didn't have far to travel to get to the festival. We loved the small family bars and the amusements at the festival. Overall even though we were there for the festival we loved the peace and quiet we got from our location.

Hi

I'm Margie Bernard the Facilitator of The Derry Playhouse Writers Group. We had the pleasure of holding a great Writers Workshop at Doire Na Criadh. We all enjoyed the comfortable and cosy setting in the hills of Donegal and the quirky interior and artwork in Dermot's place. We hope to use it again in the near future
