Customer Testimonials for The Dunes

Back to property details

Dear Roisin

I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for the stay at "The Dunes."  We had the the most amazing holiday and felt totally at home from the second we arrived.  Spending so much time in hotels for work, getting away with the family to a cosy pad on the coast a stone's throw away from the beach and the golf course was just what the doctor ordered.  "The Dunes" is such a welcoming place and we spent many a night curled up by the fire drinking more than our fair share of red wine and playing board games.  My idea of heaven!

I knew Dunfanaghy was going to be beautiful before we left but when we got there it surpassed all our expectations.  The beaches are to die for and there are so many to chose from - we spent days and days wandering the remote sands and it was one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had.  Please book us in again for next year - we can't wait to come back.

PS sorry about breaking one of your plates, the replacement is winging its way to you via Amazon!

With my very best wishes

Dear Roisin

Thank you so much for our break at The Dunes. Both Donegal and Dunfanaghy met all our holiday expectations and everyone in the village made us feel very welcome.  The house has a great location and well-equipped for a group of friends with the open fire, dining area and ensuite bathroom facilities.

Say a special thanks to Maureen for the warm welcome when we arrived and the tips she gave us!  Hope to be back again; I know we will!

With best wishes,

Roisin,

With 3 children under 5 years holidays are a whole new challenge. Hotel rooms lose all their charm as you try to keep everyone entertained in such a confined space and manage snacks with nothing but a tiny kettle! Your house was a dream come true, fantastic space both indoors and out. Having two blue flag beaches within 5 minutes was amazing and the playgrounds both at the workhouse and Ards Forest became a daily pilgrimage. The coffee shops at both these venues meant grown ups were happy to take their turn on playground duty! The abundance of ensuite bedrooms in the house meant it was ideal for grandparents staying over and these on-site babysitters allowed us to try out some of the super restaurants locally. Horse riding, surfing classes, sports camps, kids discos - there is so much that our kids are yet to grow into we will definitely be back!

Thank you so much!
