Back to property details

July 2017 - Wow! just Wow. What a location. Secluded but near to plenty of amenities including shops pubs restaurants, small towns, plenty of irish heritage, gorgeous beaches and loads of fun for the family. The cottage itself is steeped in history but also has everything you need for modern living. It's so inviting and so very welcoming. The real fire in the bathroom is just to die for. Visit the museum in Slevins dept store and see Rory Gallaghers statue. BBQ in the garden with the cows for company as well as spotting a few deer around. Whether you want busy or peaceful or a bit of both Violet Cottage is perfect.

July 2015  Quintessentially Irish yet has all the modern amenities you could need. A beautiful thatched cottage set in rolling hills with cows, sheep and even wild deer as your neighbours. Too good to be true, not at this location. The description which accompanies the advertisement is spot on. The cottage is cosy yet spacious enough and wonderfully decorated throughout. Only 10 minutes from Ballyshannon or Rossnowlagh beach. Everything you could need is within easy reach. Only one word of warning if travelling with pets make sure they are inoculated against ticks which are plentiful. All in all Violet Cottage is a wonderful place to spend a very relaxing week.
