Bundoran Star is available for charter from April to November each year. It operate everyday day during this period subject to weather conditions. The trips are normally half day or day long – a day long trip is usually 10.00am to 4.30pm. Shorter evening mackerel fishing trips are available as well.Prices for 2011 start from €400 per day with rod and reel hire available

The Bundoran Star caters for all sorts of groups: from Individual anglers to fishing clubs to corporate groups. Services range from a straightforward one day trip to a complete package comprising of transport, boat hire and accommodation.
Sea Angling
Donegal bay has some of the best fishing in the country with a wide variety of species to be caught. Species caught from the Bundoran Star include Shark, Skate, Tope, Rays, Turbot, Conger, Ling, Cod, Pollack, Coley, Gurnards, John Dory, Plaice, Flounder, Dab, Megrim, Dog Fish and Wrasse – well over thirty species in all.
Whale Seal & Dolphin Watch
The Bundoran Star encounters Minke Whale, Common Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, and Harbour Porpoise, Basking Shark, and Sunfish on a regular bases in Donegal Bay. Dolphins in the right conditions the will play around the boat. Common Dolphin and Bottlenose Dolphins are often found in large, socially active groups and are often seen, bow-riding, surfing, lob tailing and breaching. They can leap several metres out of the water. Bottlenose, like many other whales and dolphins, are social animals. They tend to live in family groups called ‘schools’. these Schools can contain anything from just two or three dolphins to over fifty. Boat Specifications
The M.V. Bundoran Star is a state of the art Lochin 333 Sea Angling Charter Vessel. It is fitted with all the latest safety and navigation equipment. It is licensed and surveyed by the Department of Marine as a passenger vessel to carry 12 anglers and 2 crew. There is lots of deck space with seating inside and outside.
Technical equipment on board the Bundoran Star includes colour radar, fish finder, GPS plotter and VHF radio. There is also cooking and toilet facilities. The vessel has a full complement of safety equipment including VHF DSC radio, EPIRB, SART, 16 person Life Raft and Life Jackets for all.
