The Beach House is one of the finest establishments to open its doors in Inishowen in recent years. The ethos of our restaurant is to provide excellent food, friendly service, a warm relaxed atmosphere and value for money. At the helm is renowned head chef Niall Gorham. Niall has a passion for sourcing high quality fresh local produce to prepare interesting and exciting dishes. Niall has worked in many award winning restaurants including l’Ecrivain in Dublin and the Beech Hill Hotel in Derry. Our innovative menu takes full advantage of our spectacular location and offers some of the finest seafood dishes perfectly complemented with exciting meat and vegetarian dishes.

Imagine spending your special day on the seafront a thousand miles from the frantic pace of everyday life. The Beach House provides a stunning venue for an unforgettable wedding day for those looking for something different and extra special.

Whatever style of wedding you are looking for can be catered for in our romantic surroundings where we offer you exclusivity and the highest standard of service from our wedding coordinator and all our staff. We can accomodate up to 95 guests for a wedding and are also available to host civil ceremonies.

Claire Mc Gowan’s restaurant is the sort of classy, professional destination that you dream of stumbling upon, a place which makes the most of it’s gorgeous location by bringing great food & great service to a truly spectacular setting. There is a hipness, a knowingness, to everything Ms Mc Gowan does, from the intelligence to source their meats from Maurice Kettyle to knowing just how to orchestrate a room to make it feel glam & grand to knowing that what kids really – really! – want for dessert is jelly & ice cream. A class act through & through.

Lovely views across the lough may be the trump card at this smart-casual restaurant but it has plenty else going for it too. A location beside the pier serving the Rathmullan car ferry must introduce it to a lot of happy visitors – who can walk off their meals on the beach afterwards.

Welcoming signs at the door ensure that nobody passes unknowingly and, once inside, the stylish yet laid-back two-storey restaurant and Claire McGowan’s friendly staff will have you hooked. Menus and water arrive promptly at your table, along with a bit of banter to make you feel at home.

A good daytime choice ranges from soups, (including a seafood chowder) salads, sandwiches and bakes to tasty main courses like moules marinières pommes frites, whilst smartly presented evening menus up the ante a bit to include starters like pale smoked haddock & crab cakes alongside the ubiquitous tiger prawns and mains including several fish dishes, roast duckling and a choice of steaks.
