The holiday home is 7km north of Rathmullan which has 2 fine sandy beaches. Amenities in Rathmullan include a shorefront childrens playground, putting green, tennis court, lively pubs, several cafes and restaurants as well as antique and bric a brac shops.

In recent years Rathmullan has become a popular watersports centre were sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding lessons are available during the holiday season. There are also two charter boats based at the local pier offering fishing and sightseeing trips on Lough Swilly.
