Nancy’s Barn Ballyliffin Donegal

On a recent trip to Ballyliffin I spotted an attractive stone built coffee shop close to the village centre and the Strand Hotel. I decided to stop for a bite to eat and on entering, I and was greeted by the friendly owner, Kieran.

The interior has lots of antiques and there is even a gallery with works by local artists on the upper floor. I ordered a freshly baked currant scone and coffee. It came with a small pot of cream topped with a strawberry and delicious raspberry jam.(see photos in slide deck below)

It is great to experience a place of this quality and I can highly recommend you try it out next time you visit Ballyliffin. The details below are from Nancy’s Barn facebook page.

Nancy's Barn Ballyliffin Inishowen

Authentic old style converted cottage / Barn in the heart of the beautiful village of Ballyliffin, formerly known as Nancy’s Barn, is now opening as a seasonal coffee shop with home baking, delicious desserts, tray bakes, shortbread, scones, sandwiches and much much more.

The front room has a comfortable spacious seating area with a home from home atmosphere and ample seating is available outside the cottage with views of Cnoc Aughrim hill and the beautiful Pollan Strand.

As our lovely Irish weather is so unpredictable, we have the choice of sitting outside in the beautiful sun trap at the side of the cottage or chill out in our large marquee outside on those rainy days.

This coffee shop is ideal for those who are looking for a catch up with some friends and for visitors who are staying in the area looking for a coffee and a delicious delicacy in a friendly vintage setting.
