Grassroutes is an electric bike hire facility based at the Craoibhin Community and Enterprise Centre in Termon Co. Donegal
Grassroutes aim is to enable tourists to explore the beautiful landscapes of Co.Donegal on bicycle. Grassroutes provide both Electric and Hybird bikes so tourists can go at their own pace through designated trails and experience the wonderful scenery within this county for themselves.

The designated routes on offer include the Glenveagh National Park Trail, Errigal & Derryveagh Mountain Trail, Fanad Head Trail, Glendowan Trail and Downings Trail

Grassroutes will deliver your hired bikes to your hotel, home, business and set you off for the day cycling with maps and guides, meet you en route with a picnic lunch and let you roam the wonderful sights this county has to offer for the remainder of the day. You can stop off in your final destination have dinner, a few drinks and Grassroutes will transport you back to your hotel, home, business or you can cycle back to the facilitys base at Craoibhin, Termon and pick up your car. It’s as easy as that

The Bicycles

The bike hire scheme possesses both electric and hybrid bikes, which allows you (the customer) to decide whatever meets your requirements and desires for each tour you take. Grassroutes can take bookings up to a maximum of 25 bikes and also provide the suitable equipment to certify that safety needs are kept to the highest standard. Each customer is given a helmet before they set off and tyre puncture kits along with first aid kits are provided on -call everyday.

The electric bikes are all battery powered and guarantee a smooth and pleasant ride once you reach a tough incline along your journey. They guarantee you can enjoy all the beautiful scenery and takes the toughness away from cycling and turns it into a leisurely stroll no matter where you go. These bikes allow any fear of steep mountain inclines to vanish as you can pedal upwards with ease
However, the hybrid bikes allow tourists to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds around the Hills of Donegal by the more old style approach. It ensures cyclists can explore the mountainous views
