Letterkenny Golf Club – Letterkenny Golf Club is located at Barnhill on the outskirts of Letterkenny Town and is one of the most picturesque parkland courses in the North West of Ireland. A major upgrading of the course took place in 2007 under the guidance of Declan and Ronan Brannigan. Letterkenny has now entered Golf Digests Top 100 golf courses in the country for the fist time (ranked No 96)-vindicating the enormous progess made at Barnhill over the past decade since the staging of the Irish Ladies Open in 1999.

Nestled within 147 acres Letterkenny Golf Club is an 18 hole, 6239 yards, Par 72 course.The course takes advantage of natural variations in elevation with four holes straddling the banks of Lough Swilly and the ‘top 7’ holes affording the golfer sweeping views of the Lough- side with its patchwork fields and gentle rolling hills.

Situated in a mature parkland setting, bordering on the shores of Lough Swilly, the course was originally laid out among natural woodlands. As well as being a fine golf course the location is also a magnificent natural wildlife habitat that supports a great variety of birdlife in particular.
