McNutt’s of Downings

Located in the seaside village of Downings, on Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way, McNutt of Donegal have been producing some of the world’s finest weaves for over 60 years.

Laurentic Gun at Downings – originally located on the top deck of the Laurentic, is one of eight recovered from the ill-fated liner. The Laurentic, which was bound for Canada, had just left Buncrana and rounded Dunree Head when it struck a German mine and sank on January 25, 1917

The Olde Glen Bar Carrigart Donegal – a true gem of an Irish country pub – with the added bonus of a superb restaurant. The McLaughlin family bar is reputed to be almost 400 years old.
