Swimming Pools in Donegal

The Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny provides a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and contains the latest state-of-the-art equipment. There are a range of courses, classes and fitness programs tailored to suit all needs. Aura has parent and toddler, children’s and adult swimming lessons with its own 8 level Aura swim academy. On site you will find a 25 metre pool, a learner pool, a children’s pool and two twister adventure water slides which provide fun for the whole family.

Magherabeg Leisure Centre in Downings, Co. Donegal is equipped with a 20 metre swimming pool, kids pool and a variety of facilities for you to enjoy post dip including sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, aerobics room and a fully equipped gym and fitness studio. There is also a variety of water classes to avail of at the centre including aqua aerobics and adult swimming lessons.

For something a little bit more exciting you may want to try Waterworld in Bundoran. Located on the town seafront you will find one of the premier indoor aqua adventure centres in the country. Some of the highlights of Waterworld include the wave pool with its 5 wave patterns, 2 speed rapids and childrens water features. The slide pool with tornado flume, twister flume and snake shower spray is fun for the whole family while the whizzer slide is the fastest waterslide in Ireland. Newly introduced features for 2013 include the gravity speed slide, a 3 lane multi slide and a pirate galleon ship. There are most relaxing alternatives for the adults to enjoy at the centre including seaweed baths and aqua mara treatment rooms.

Ballyshannon Leisure Centre has the only heated 25 metre indoor swimming pool in South Donegal. They also offer daily swim fun sessions for children as well as adult swim lessons which are headed up by three fully qualified swim teachers. The leisure centre offers a host of additional facilities for patrons including a sauna, steam room and fitness suite.
